Graphic designer Richard Smith thinks designers can help kick-start the US economy with what he calls 'The Dollar ReDesign Project'.
"It seems so obvious to us that the ‘only’ realistic way for a swift economic recovery is through a thorough, in-depth, rebranding scheme – starting with the redesign of the iconic US Dollar – it’s the ‘only’ pragmatic way to add some realistic stimulation into our lives! Therefore, you must take part and we really want to see what YOU would do."
Richard has launched the project and has asked others to contribute their own ideas to his blog.

Colour Your Eyes
I wanna put some colour on my eyes this summer.
I definitely have my favorite brand for eye shadows, and that is MAC. Their shadows are highly pigmentated, applies very evenly and blends amazingly well, even if you don´t have the best brushes. You can get them in all the shades and textures you dream of. At some places you can buy them in a refill pan that fits in the MAC pro palette. I know that's possible at the MAC store in Magasin, Copenhagen, but not at the one in Malmö.

Balmain T-Straps
I wasn't a big fan of the (in my opinion) overhyped Balmain's studded crystal sandals, but I really like these T-Strap Gladiators. Spotted at Jak & Jil blog.

Coca-Cola has introduced 5 limited edition can designs for the summer.
I like the grill and the sunglasses where they play with the logotype... I think the rest is a bit boring.

FC Barcelona’s Camp Nou Stadium, one of the world’s greatest football venues, is to be extensively remodelled. The stadium, already the largest in Europe, will be enlarged to accommodate over 106,000 fans (8000 more than now), together with extensive new facilities including hospitality and public areas.
The stadium will be enclosed by a brightly coloured mosaic outer skin that wraps around the building and continues over a new roof. The multi-coloured enclosure comprises overlapping translucent tiles in the club colours.
