Galaxy nails

I'm a huge fan of Sci-fi. Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek runs all the time at home. I'd love to express my love for the outer space by wearing it on my fingertips. You can do a million color combinations! Purple, blue, black, pink, yellow, and a lot of galaxies, by using glitter.

Most important is to use a dark nail polish as your base coat, like black or dark blue. OPI Black Onyx is a great choice. Then add other colors with a small sponge. By adding a glitter coat on top, you get some stars. I would use something similar to Stairway to Heaven by Deborah Lippman.

Haven't tried yet, but i definitely will. So say we all!

Here is a small tutorial

Essie spring collection 2012

This spring, essie pays tribute to the beautiful, ambitious woman of action. Not content to play it safe and hedge her bets during the wintry economic climate, the change in weather perfectly suits her sunnier outlook. In both fashion and finance, she’s ready, willing and able to strike out and try something fresh and new.

I will buy A Crewed Interest and Tour de Finance. The last one has an amazing shimmer to it...

“Whatever your strategy, choose one of six ingenious colors that means business.” From left to right the colors are: Navigate Her, A Crewed Interest, To Buy or Not to Buy, Tour de Finance, Olé Caliente, Orange It’s Obvious"

Iris Apfel For MAC

A colour collection inspired by a rare bird who has always been ahead of her time, the 90-year-old fashion icon, Mrs. Iris Apfel. Subject of her own exhibit at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and larger-than-life star, Apfel boldly mixed flea market finds with haute couture decades before doing it was considered de rigueur. Need to moisturize your lips?

When the weather gets colder, I tend to get dry lips. Last year I tried lipstick from Make Up Store, and for me, they are absolutely amazing. Lipstick is normally dry, but the ones from MUS are enriched with vitamins and extracts, and do not only moisturize, but also deliver rich color and smooth application.

Key ingredients
  • Avocado oil: Gives a slightly oily surface that protects against the environment, keeps in moisture. Softening, strengthening, especially good for dry and sensitive skin.
  • Beeswax: Softens, protects, doesn’t clog pores.
  • Vitamin E: (Tocopheryl Acetate) Binds and maintains moisture.
  • Jojoba: Moisturizes and locks in moisture.
  • Shea butter: Softening, moisturizing, protecting and anti inflammatory.

Kate Moss in 3D

Created by AnOther Magazine with artist and filmmaker Baillie Walsh, KM3D-1 stars Kate Moss. The work continues Moss and Walsh's journey into experimental, multi-dimensional image-making, first seen in their legendary holographic film for Alexander McQueen's autumn/winter 2006 show.

In this movie, she plays Kali, the powerful Hindu goddess. “She’s magical,” Walsh says. “The reason that Kate has gone on and on is not just because of her beauty, but because of what’s inside.”

Kate wears sequin embroidered jacket from Mairead Lewin Vintage with gold bikini bottoms from Rellik and all jewellery from Pebble and Erickson Beamon.

Scotch Naturals

Photobucket

Scotch Naturals is a line of water-based, non-toxic polish that is
free of the harsh chemicals found in most solvent-based polishes. You can get online at Spirit Beauty Lounge. Can someone please bring them to Scandinavia?
Me waaaaaaaant!

"Scotch Naturals™ polish has a lot in common with the women who wear it. We are smart, fun, and forward thinking. We care about the environment, and we come in a wide variety of colors. When we want to look and feel our best, we choose natural products, knowing it’s not just healthier for us, but for the world around us."

Go Amber

Armani Privé Haute Couture Fall 2010
For the beauty look at Armani Privé, makeup artist Linda Cantello was inspired by the color amber, the defining shade for the Italian designer’s couture. For this very natural look, she used the following Giorgio Armani products:

Crema Nera moisturizer
Fluid Master Primer
High Precision Retouch Concealer - on T-zone
Fluid Sheer No. 2 – cheekbones, down the nose and on center of lips
Maestro Eyeshadow No. 3 – on the lid with a wet brush
Maestro Eyeshadow No. 17 – outer corner
Eye Shadow Quad in 03 Earth (light gold color) – highlight inner corner

And what about the hair?
“The hair at Armani Privé was super soft and glamorous, it’s rich looking with a bit of texture,” hairstylist Oribe says. “It’s a very blown out look that almost sweeps into the models’ faces. We kept a little curl at the front with everything mostly straight at the back. We adapted the looks to let each girl’s personality to shine through.”

Chanel Summer 2010

Photobucket

LES POP-UP DE CHANEL. The Chanel Summer 2010 limited collection. I would go for the Chanel Mistral Nail Polish. Mistral No.517 is a pale, delicate pink with a cool almost flaky shimmer. I also think the colours on the two glosses looks beautiful, even if I'm not a big fan of lipgloss myself. Just can't stand the texture and I hate it when my hair sticks to it...

Julianne Moore vs. Bulgari

Photobucket

Julianne Moore will be the face of Bulgari's spring summer 2010 jewelry and watch campaign.

The project, titled Eccentric Charisma, takes inspiration from Jean-Leon Gerome's famous painting, Odalisque, and will feature Moore lounging in an opulent boudoir while showcasing 115-carat Bulgari Colombian teardrop emerald earrings, Serpenti snake bracelets and the brand's new "Chandra" bag.
Snapped by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot in Beverly Hills, the campaign is set to debut in February 2010.

A Scent Of Fall

I would like to share this lovely newcomer with you.

Byredo Blanche is the newest scent from swedish fragrance brand Byredo. Byredo (from 'by redolence') fragrances are all inspired by the memories of founder, Ben Gorham.

"The idea for Blanche is, as the name suggests, built around my perception of the colour white. For the first time i actually made a fragrance for and with a specific person in mind. I wanted to capture her innocent and untainted side, with a fragrance almost transparent in nature. Blanche also represents an appreciation for classic beauty. The fragrance is pure and simple in structure but extreme in character." - B.G.
